How does tuition work?

  • Online lessons are held primarily via Zoom.

    • Alternatives include Google Meet / Microsoft Teams.

    • In-person tuition incurs an extra fee of £10 and is held at the student’s home. This is only available to those who are in or around Sheffield, UK.

    • Lessons can be recorded upon request. Recordings are emailed to the student after the lesson.

  • Notes are written on an online whiteboard which is unique to the student, and all whiteboard notes are available to be viewed at any time following the lesson.

    • The primary online whiteboard used is Pencil Spaces.

    • It is recommended to have a tablet with a stylus to be able to write on the whiteboard. Personally, I use an iPad with an Apple Pencil.

    • If the student does not have a tablet with a stylus, then a notepad with a pen is recommended for note taking and problem-solving instead.

  • A unique Google Drive link is provided which contains many resources to help secure their target grade and smash those exams!

    • Google Drive contains a revision plan to tackle exams, relevant textbooks, exam-styled revision material such as past exam papers, problem sheets and solutions.

    • After each lesson, targeted homework is provided for further practice.

    • Homeworks can be sent back to me (or uploaded onto the Google Drive link) for marking, and personalised feedback.
